The challenges confronting them

Audio-Technica were facing a number of technical and performance barriers across their digital ecosystem. Merchant Center errors were limiting product visibility and preventing ads from running effectively. A complex website migration involving tens of thousands of URLs needed careful handling to protect SEO performance. At the same time, opportunities existed to improve conversion rates, email marketing efficiency and cookie compliance across multiple global locations.

We resolved critical Merchant Center issues to restore product visibility and enable Shopping listings, while also supporting a large-scale website migration involving over 30,000 redirects, analytics setup and ecommerce tracking. Alongside this, we implemented Cookiebot across 15+ regional sites, carried out CRO and UX analysis of the homepage, audited the Dotdigital account and supported SEO improvements to strengthen search performance.

The technology behind the solution

A combination of leading ecommerce and marketing technologies helped deliver the improvements. Google Merchant Center and Google Analytics were configured to restore product visibility and ensure accurate performance tracking. Cookiebot was implemented across multiple regions to manage privacy compliance. Dotdigital was optimised for more effective lifecycle marketing, while SEO tools and CRO analysis helped identify opportunities to improve visibility, engagement and conversion.

The results & future development

Fixing Merchant Center issues resulted in around 800 products being approved, unlocking Shopping visibility and acceptance into Free Listings. This contributed to a 46% increase in clicks and a 36% rise in impressions. Organic performance also strengthened significantly, with clicks increasing 19% and average position improving from 17.6 to 9.5. Organic revenue grew by 60%, highlighting significant ongoing growth potential.
