Magento 1 to Adobe Commerce Hyvä (Magento 2) migration, delivering ultra fast speeds and an online shopping experience that puts Fierce PC in pole position.

Unfortunately, their online presence failed to live up to the performance of the systems they deliver. Migrating from Magento 1 to Adobe Commerce Hyvä (Magento 2), a complete overhaul was needed to create an online shopping experience every bit as seamless as gaming itself.

When Fierce approached Aware, it was clear that there was a huge opportunity to elevate the user experience. Fierce PC supplies high-performance machines that can seamlessly run the latest games and deliver a highly immersive and thrilling gaming experience, so it was imperative that their new online presence matched this experience and fixed the old site’s numerous issues.
At its core, Adobe Commerce (Magento) uses JS/CSS and html. While this is commonplace for websites, it can be a slight issue with page speeds as the default Magento calls in extra Javascript that might not be required. Say hello to Hyvä, the most powerful and improved performance-based approach for Magento to date.
Using Aware to implement and deploy a bespoke Hyvä build for Fierce PC allowed for quicker load times, less Javascript and vastly improved user performance. Using a simple Alpine Js framework and writing compatibility modules meant Aware were able to deliver an outstanding speed-focused website that will help Fierce PC to boost rankings and see a large ROI.
The core requirement of bundling for speed is to maintain the functionality of the existing site while also improving load times. The testing of the existing functionality with the bundling allowed us to safely launch this feature. Here were the results:

Overhauling the Fierce PC store was about much more than just a visual redesign. We wanted to create a site that would make it easier than ever for customers to find their dream gaming PC on any device and create a UX to drive conversions.
Research and investigation into competitors showed that customers were looking to engage on the product detail page and build their dream PC as quickly as possible.
Enter our bespoke compatibility PC Builder, which allows customers to configure their system and specify PC components without even having to check if any of the products work together. Quick, simple and intuitive, it’s an elegant solution that helped improve the conversion rate on the product detail page by over 40%.
Another area of focus was the search function, which now shows matching products, categories and pages without even needing to complete the search. Simply start typing something into the search box and customers are shown recommendations in real time, including a preview of the product image, description and pricing.
Of course, people like to shop in different ways – and the new site successfully meets this need and makes it a breeze to locate exactly what they are looking for.
